Contain numerous biking and hiking trails

The Müggelsee in Köpenick has since become very well-known and is a popular tourist destination. But the adjacent Müggelberge hills are still an insider tip. At 115 metres, they are the highest elevation in Berlin and contain numerous biking and hiking trails. Downhill mountain bikers will find plenty of jumps to practise on; there are also campfire sites that can be used and romantic forest paths that twist and turn beneath the old oak trees are waiting to be explored. The Teufelssee is the stuff of legends and offers beautiful walking trails on boardwalks along the small raised bog. If you’re aiming a bit higher, you can climb either Großer Müggelberg or Kleiner Müggelberg, where Kleiner has a better view. That might surprise you at first, but it soon becomes clear why: the Müggelturm observation tower on top offers a panoramic view of up to 50 kilometres. The Müggelberge are also home to a number of pubs and beer gardens to ensure plenty of refreshment throughout the day.
