One of the most popular leisure activities in the city
Wild boar and deer live in the Tiergarten today. Since 1997, the former wild horse enclosure accommodates 10 to 20 red deer. The Tiergarten is also the habitat of many species of birds and rare bats.
A special highlight, especially for small visitors and families, is the Tiergartenfest, which takes place every year on the second weekend in October. The forestry company thanks the children for collecting acorns and chestnuts, which are fed to the animals in winter.
