On the site a memorial by Hanns Diettrich inaugurated in memory of the victims of the Nazi regime

Since 1975, the area of the former cemetery bears the name Park of the Victims of Fascism. Even today, however, there are some graves in the park. From Zschopauer Straße you can see the honorary tomb of Franz Xaver Rewitzer. Further east in the park is the grave of Johann Ambrosius Weigand, a pioneer of the gymnastics movement and the fire department in Chemnitz. The graves of fallen German and French soldiers of the German-French War, the so-called "French graves", have been restored.
