A green area in the center of the Schleswig-Holstein capital, Kiel
Since 1938, the park has been called the Ratsdienergarten in memory of the gardens that used to be there and were maintained by nearby council servants. The area of the old gardens was expanded in 1869 by the addition of the swamp area at the eastern end of the small keel on about 20,000 m².
