    Heart of Mainz Neustadt

Not for nothing, Goetheplatz is often referred to as the heart of Mainz Neustadt. He was appointed in 1908 to the name of the poet, statesman and naturalist Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) - who lived several times in Mainz - the area between Goethestraße and Colmarstraße provides recreational activities for young and old.

A large park-like area is particularly attractive for families with children. If you are looking for a refreshing dip in the summer, but do not want to go to the pool, then you are in the right place. A large water court is prepared with moisturizers for young people. Water fountains and elephants slip into a knee-high pool of playing on the playground for a small adventure for children. Corrugated objects collide with the swimming pool, and the oval "cushions" invite you to sit in cold water. Even young people wearing sun hats on their heads appreciate the fresh water. Mom and Dad can pass the time while dipping the water.

In addition, the Goetheplatz has a large adventure playground - a kind of river or swamps with robin logs. In addition to the climbing frames made of hard rubber and tree house, there is a slide and variability. Seating options ensure parents have their children under the trees.
The generous meadow and old trees at Goetheplatz invite you to socialize or relax on one of the garden benches.

There are a total of five kindergartens, a retirement home and a roller skating club around Goetheplatz.
