Green lung downtown
Due to its proximity to the city center, the city park is now a unique recreational location. The current facility is approximately 28 hectares in size. The character of the forest and the immediate vicinity of the Rhine give the attraction to the population looking for recreation. Tranquility and balance are taught, stress and bustle of the city disappear behind old trees. The highlight of the city park is the "Festival of German Cinema", well known far beyond the city limits.
On ten kilometers of paved paths, the park can be committed. There are playgrounds for children and a fitness trail for recreational athletes. The connection to the city center is guaranteed via the "Schneckennudel", a pedestrian bridge over the Rhine.
