About Park

  • Preview

It is primarily a park for Bukengenin and Buckinger

It has a 1.2-hectare lake, and its beaches are diverse. The grassy banks of the stadium alternate with the gravel and sandy beach in the water court, banks with dense vegetation and swamps on the small peninsula and in the transition to a wet area off. The lake is fed by the pool springs, which are located above the water playground on a small hill. From the springs basin, the water often flows through the lake's water court. The stunning focal points are the steep 15 m high walls made of bright mud in the water tower. It is home to rare and protected wild bee species.

    Sports and leisure activities
The water court and the large playground are a special attraction for all children and adolescents. The spacious lawns invite you to play ball and stroll. Near the kiosk, Mostbirnenrondell is the starting point for Mostbirnenweg.

    Barbecue
Allow the barbecue in the brick garden in the western meadow of the stadium.

The emergence of a brick industry garden
As the name implies, the 15 hectare park was built in a former brick building. After service, the unique opportunity to create Bürgerpark from the former industrial site was provided. This historic project won the German Landscape Architecture Award in 1995. There is nothing to remind us today of the design of the former site, but still all the remains of buildings and local demolition materials - such as the recycling of gravel on roads or the construction of gardens.
