    Located on the first hills of Bologna

    It includes a strip of cretaceous protrusions, which led to the appearance of a very interesting karst complex, and Calanchi dell'Abbadessa suggestive. The park evolves around the important cretaceous protrusions that led to the emergence of a very interesting Karst complex. The dolinas, grooves, plateaus, blind valleys and rocky slopes form a radial form of the region along a bar, sporadically developing through valleys, culminating eastward towards the Vina del Jesú Romaniola (also part of the protected area system).
