Wide green lung in the city

The area known as Bazzarola extends between the regions of Buco del Signore, Pappagnocca, Villaggio Stranieri and Rodano stream, and today is called Acque Chiare. Historically, we have identified Bazaarola Basa between Del Quinzio (now via Via Giovanni XXIII) and Via Coogini and Pizzarola Alta around Via Monty, even if the difference in altitude between the two is minimal: the first 57 meters above sea level 60 - It identifies an area characterized by a large water presence: canals, canals, springs and groundwater.

The Rodano River and Rio Acqua Chiara are among the main waterways and feature a luxurious green belt, one of the priority habitats that spurs the creation of the SIC. Rio Acqua Chiara springs from the confluence of the Lavezza and Arianna rivers, which descend from the Albinea hills and join the local area of Monterampino in Canali, while Torano Rodano derives this name from the confluence of the Lodola and Secchia channels in the town of Fogliano.
