  An ecosystem in which plant and animal species coexist

  The Mediterranean Biodiversity Park is a green area in the heart of Catanzaro. The park was born, from the ecological redevelopment of the old company of the local agricultural school, which for decades has been prey to degradation and neglect. Since 2002, the Department of Catanzaro has carried out a massive intervention to reshape the landscape in the spirit of natural engineering with a view to respecting and promoting biodiversity. Today, The Park is an ecosystem in which great plant and animal species coexist, and above all a multi-theme system in which the natural dimension overlaps with the cultural, sporting and recreational dimension. Inside, the park houses the headquarters of the CRAS (Wild Animal Recovery Center), MUSMI (Brigata Catanzaro Military History Museum) and the Provincial Police Corps.
