The Odessa Quarantine watchtower - a former quarantine cemetery morgue - has been restored -
At the end of the eighteenth century, in 1795, in the region of Cape Langeron, there were fortifications - Odessa Castle. In the center of the castle was a hill with Andreevsky stronghold. In 1811, the castle was reorganized into quarantine. Quarantine cemetery organized inside the quarantine.

According to the city's plans in the mid-nineteenth century, the quarantine area was designated as the "castle garden". Thus, according to the plan of the architect V. For 1840 Bufu, a garden had to be built at the quarantine site. However, the park was a military administration, not a city, so it was abandoned.

In May 1896, a decision was made to transfer the land to the city. At the beginning of 1900, by decision of the city government, the walls of the cemetery were dismantled and free access to its territory was opened.
