The playground has tools based on an electronic platform, but there are also swings, climbing frame and sandbox, all on a soft surface of red and blue rubber. Instructions for the interactive gear Space and Nova can be found at the playground.
The playground has lighting to invite to play even during the darker days of the year. The nearby amphitheater has been renovated and the small hill next to the playground has seating at the top!
The rubber mat on the playground consists of two layers. The lower layer is made of recycled industrial tires - not personal image bags because they have more pollution - while the upper layer consists of newly made rubber. Measurements made in another location with carpet from the same manufacturer show that any harmful substances from the lower layer do not penetrate through the upper layer or to surrounding soil.
