A botanical garden to use in science education
The educational park was established in 1867 as a botanical garden to use in science education. Several of the trees that were planted at that time are still left in the park, including the mighty silver maples. Today, the educational park plays a very important role as a city park in the center.
In 2017-2018, a new herb garden was created in the park's northeast and new bushes and trees were planted. The spice garden is paved to increase accessibility.
