- It was founded in 1875 and was founded in 1875 when he visited the forests of Bologna in Paris during one of his visits. He decided to set up the Orman Park in Cairo to transfer what he saw in the forest of Bologna to Cairo. The area is 28 acres and features 20,000 plant species. The zoo now extends into 4 small gardens, the Cactus Garden, the Rose Garden, the Palm Quarter, and the Garden of the Bird of Paradise, along with the Lotus Garden Lake. The park is located in the Dokki neighborhood near Cairo University.
