It is a large open space
Originally designed as golf course, Leith Links is a large open space with tree lined avenues and walkways that is well-used. Local schools and community groups have been involved in planting crocuses, daffodils and creating a children's orchard. It is a park that is enjoyed by the whole community. It is a great place for walkers, joggers, for football, cricket, games and picnics. There is a well used children's play area. Leith Links is important as a venue, with the Edinburgh Mela and Leith Festival being held here every year.
