  Greenhead Park opened in September 1884 and is now over 130 years old. The park has long been popular among an acceptable population, young and old alike, and features and events within the park have attracted people from miles.

  There are two children's play areas with equipment for children of all ages. A playground, near the Cafe in the Park and sports courts, was created during the restoration of the park and includes a zip wire, playtower, swings, climbing wall and more. There's a fenced area for younger children with smaller equipment and a sand play area, and a special area set aside for imaginative play such as building dens with natural materials. A second play area is also available, providing fantastic new play equipment and natural play features right in the middle of the park. Both play areas have picnic tables for families to enjoy
