    Sitting places

    Healthy walks take place every Monday at 12noon, and Wednesday at 10am. The walks, led by trained walk leaders, start and finish at Welland Park café and last approximately 1 hour. Tea and coffee is available after each walk. Harborough Band performs on the bandstand on various dates during the summer.

    * Table tennis The table tennis table is next to the Welland Park cafe. The table is free to use and cannot be booked in advance. Just turn up with your bats and balls to play. * Skate park The skate park is located at the Farndon Road end of the park and can be accessed via the foot bridge or from the Satellite Youth Centre. The park incorporates a range of challenging ramps and rails suitable for in-line skaters, skate boarders and BMX users of all abilities. * Tennis courts The park has 5 hard courts. Tennis courts are free to use but there is a charge for the floodlights on the 3 floodlit courts. Tokens for the floodlights cost £1 each (providing the floodlights for 1 hour) and can be purchsed from reception at The Symington Building during opening hours.

    Social fitness zone - outdoor gym An adult fitness area is found next to the children's play area. This is free for all the community to use. There are 3 pieces of equipment with clear instructions on how to use them. It has been designed for people who are beginning their journey to better health and fitness but is equally well suited to someone who exercises regularly. Equipment includes: A balancing beam which can be used to do press ups, step overs, toe taps Wall bars for a great workout for calf and thigh muscles Stepping posts can be used for shuttle runs, hop over and weaves for a whole body work out Track your progress using our Personal Progress Planner (PDF, 231KB).
