Resting oasis in the media district
The Mediapark on the site of the former Gereon freight yard was completed around the turn of the millennium, significantly adding value to the surrounding area. Although the green areas are relatively small and are dominated by the mighty Cologne Tower, but they are connected with bridges and pedestrian crossings with the city garden and the Inner Green Belt. For some time the plant officially bears the name August-Sander-Park - the works of the Cologne photographer form the basis of the Mediapark-based photographic collection of the SK Stiftung Kultur.
