It originated on the former wetlands of Volkspark
This city park, built in 1911, is a special feature of Mayor Palleske in Höchst, which was still independent at the time. So the city park was called "Palleske Park" until the 1960s. The large park, extended in 1930, gets its charm from the pond.
The park is included in a long-range green system with adjacent landscaping gardens, sports fields, hiking trails and cycling.
