The Beutlerpark is located southeast of the main station

The Beutlerpark is a listed park in the Dresdner Südvorstadt northeast of the university campus. Due to its location on the former Bornberg the height difference on the approximately 2.5-acre area compared to other Dresden city parks is relatively high.

Under the Lord Mayor of Dresden (1895-1915) Otto Beutler, the ski area on the mountain was bought and released in November 1913 as a hill park for the public in the form of a people's park. After Beutler's death in August 1926 was in appreciation of his services to the city on October 14 of the year renamed the Schanzenpark in Beutlerpark.
