    The Martin Luther Kingpark is a city park in Amsterdam South.

    The park is located between Amstel and Rivierenbuurt. The park was named in 1968 after the American pastor Martin Luther King, who was killed that year. From 1949 it was called Amstelpark, a name that was launched in 1971 to the current Amstelpark in Buitenveldert.

    The park was classified in 1990 in the Rivierenbuurt district, between 1998 and 2010, this was ZuiderAmstel. Since 2010 belongs to the South. The show has been held annually in the park since 1990. From 2005 the park underwent a major renovation
