A huge tree grows in the center of the park on a hill
The wooded mound east of the park is a remnant of the old underground icebox of Hôtel-Dieu4. Its structure composed of a thick earthen shell was ideally suited to serve as shelter in 1960 for the cobalt bomb intended for cancer treatment in the radiotherapy department of Clemenceau Hospital by providing the necessary waterproofing for radiation protection.
