The main entrance is in Via Cadello, and another is in Via Liguria. Inside the garden there are play facilities, a pond, many geese, ducks and many turtles. It is a favorite for families with children and an entertainment place for adults. Many citizens of Cagliari go abroad for some exercise, because Monte Claro Park offers ideal walking and jogging trails. In summer, guests enjoy various cultural and entertainment events. Villa Clara is built on a hilltop. Monte Claro Hill was first built in Villa Clara, which since 1978 the Italian government wanted to change after the abolition of psychiatric hospitals. In 1998 the last patients left the center of Villa Clara. Nowadays guests of the provincial library Emilio Lussu.
An area for dogs opened in June 2017. One is for small dogs (3000 square meters) and the other for large dogs (2500 meters).
