The city park (the central park of culture and entertainment) is the art of a huge park of local importance in Ukraine. Chernihiv city park, a traditional place for many residents and visitors to Chernihiv. Lesya Ukrainka Central Culture and Recreation Park is located near Desna, on Shevchenko Street, near Yuri Gagarin Stadium.

The area of nature conservation is 11.2 hectares (the total area of the green area is 60 hectares). The situation was granted in accordance with the decision of the Regional Executive Committee in Chernihiv on March 28, 1964 No. 121; dated June 10, 1972, No. 303; dated 27 December 1984 No. 454; dated 28.08.1989 № 164.
