Serene, scenic park with many old trees & an subterranean art venue

Söndermarken has been open to the public since 1852. At one point, large lawns were moored for political gatherings and demonstrations. Today, the promoter is used, among other things, for concerts, cinematic experiences, art projects and school sports days.

One can experience the memorial plateau, which was established by immigrant Danish Americans, and tanks, which once served ponds providing clean water to Copenhagen residents.

From May 18 to September 21, the Bakkehus Museum will take guided tours on Sundays for several weeks. 15th

Below the fountain park, you'll find dark water pools in the early 1850's. After the cholera epidemic, a large open water basin was built in 1856-59 to provide clean drinking water for Copenhagen residents. Later, the basin was laid and divided into 3 tanks equipped with columns, 4 meters high.
